IMO, he lost what credibility he had long before now. Maybe something to the fact that he's a leech off Oprah and got sued after attepting to claim he knew anything about weight loss programs. The man is a joke...just my opinion though

I've never seen his show. Have never found him either credible or interesting. In my book being a friend of Oprah doesn't make one credible, and that is exactly how he got known.

So is every other talk show host, but Dr. Phil is one of the most romantic men I have ever heard of--he spoils his wife silly, she is the luckiest woman in the world and she knows it....

did he ever have a thread of credibility? i mean, popularity, he had, yes, but he was on Oprah to start, for god sakes. what does that say? we all know she's a great judge of credibility....like what happened with that james frey thing.

He is salvageable but really, to me, he is has become a total "reality show" character and encourages his guests to be the same way.
