I've been a bass player for many years. I also play the guitar. It takes practice and lots of it.. There isn't much more to say about it. It you love music and want to play bad enough you will put the time in. If you don't you will never become good at it.

I taught myself how to play the guitar MANY years ago. It is VERY easy to learn. When you buy sheet music, there are pictures above each chord that tell you where to put your fingers. Most of the idiots in the world know how to play...come on and join us!!

p.s. Because I taught myself, I did not always do things the "right" way....therefore, sometimes I am limited, like when I strike individual strings, rather than a chord ( arpeggio is what it is called, I think).....I taught myself how to do it with my thumb and pointing finger...if I had been taught properly, I'd be able to pluck the individual strings with ALL my fingers.
Good luck to you,buddy♫
