Honestly, few, perhaps 10%. This has just become one more day in which the public, especially men, can be fleeced. Most men either prove (or disprove) their true feelings each and every day without needing some special day to feel "forced" by custom to show love.

I'm not a man, but I can probably guess that only a very small percentage care at all. I think my husband gives me flowers every year because he cares about ME, and not Valentine's day.
He knows I'd be upset if he boycotted it.

I am also not a man but I can guess it is very few men that actually care about the V day. I think its a day that becomes a pain in the a*# for men.

percentage... single digits would be my guess. Why is it that a "holiday" is suppose to be for "lovers" when if they are in love they should do things out of the blue just 'cuz, not b/c hallmark, the candy stores, and flower places say "today's the day".

I care about it, it gives me the opportunity to say the things that I don't have time to say..

I don't, but I'll tell you one thing I've learned about it: don't have to care about it, but YOU BETTER NOT FORGET TO BRING SOMETHING!

Learned my lesson!
