They passed Brazil for No.1. I personally think Italy doesn't even deserve to be in the Top 10.

First of all, yes I do know good futbol because futbol is my life, and I've been playing it since the age of 4, so don't try and teach me futbol. And my question has nothing to do with who won this and who won that, it's Italy as a team. That's why I don't like the way they rank teams. They win, they go higher in rankings, but does it matter by how much they win? How they played the game? They could've easily won the game with an own goal.

And yes I did watch the world cup, followed all the games actually, and wasn't satisfied at all with the results.

This last world cup wasnt great at all. I think all the teams played it way to safe. Fifa needs to rank teams over history, consistency and how well they play in the games. What needs to be included as well is team conduct. THere should definitely be deductions on a team whos consistently getting fouls and suspensions.Yes scoring should count to an extent. Brazil has always had the passion and heart in their games and I havent seen it these last 4 years. And Portugal did fantastic in the world cup and that wasnt even reflected in the fifa world cup standings. Fifa needs to redo their rankings b/c it doesnt reflect the reality of the game. And no Italy shouldnt be in the top 10 b/c they did play that well in the first few rounds of the world cup anyways. Just b/c they won doesnt mean they should be number 1 in the standings (had to blow off steam there)

Italy are a really organized team with a great defence which boasts of names such as Fabio Cannavaro(Real Madrid), Gianluca Zambrotta (Fc Barcelona) and Alessandro Nesta (AC Milan). They surely deserve to be on top as they won the World Cup fair and square. Moreover Italy just ended brazil's 4 and a half year reign on world football because brazil lost to portugal 2-0 in an international friendly. But i'm sure that brazil will come back as the point difference between the two is only of 22 points.

well obviously you didn't watch the world cup.....it's a competition of all the best teams.....and Italy won. of course they deserve to be up there! The beautifully destroyed Germany....which everybody though was going to win! They beat France which beat Brazil! They beat Czech Republic....a top contender! What else do you want? They proved themselves and earned it fair and square!

Italy is dirty and cheap, sure they have some good players, canavaro is good (and dirty), I respect the american team more that I respect Italy and USA isn't exactly amazing...
