Just call and tell them that you just took a home pregnancy test and it was positive. They'll tell you what you need to do. Most likely they will schedule you for an appointment to confirm your pregnancy (usually with a urine test, so go with a full bladder; otherwise a blood test) and give you some information about your pregnancy and what to expect. They will weigh you and measure you, to get some baseline information to compare throughout the rest of your pregnancy. They'll then let you know how often your appointments will be (most likely every 6-8 weeks in the beginning) and you might even get a chance to make all your appointments right there if you want to get it out of the way (otherwise you can make them as you go). Every time you come in to an appointment, they're probably going to want a urine sample. So go with a full bladder every time (I always made mine first thing in the morning and tried not to go when I first woke up -- otherwise I couldn't go!) You can always go when you get there even if they don't need a sample, anyway. Good luck and congratulations !!!!

I called my OB's office and told them that i just found out i was pregnant and did not know what to do since it is my first baby. That was last Weds. They scheduled me for an office visit on the 19th where they will do an ultrasound, blood work, give me an RX for prenatals and have an office consult where they will answer any questions I have. Good luck and hope that helped a bit!

yes it is a prenatal checkup dont be concerned with what it is called simply call up the doctors office and the will guide you along as if you were being pullled in by a tractor beam. Its quite a simple task, but the worst thing you could do is to wait.

that is not any longer known or ok in any respect, i'd call again and be conscious in case you are able to examine with some different person and per chance you basically were given some incorrect assistance or whoever you talked to did not understand what they were talking about. in case you call again and they say an similar aspect then i'd change medical doctors, a medical professional ought to make certain you or a minimum of make you an appointment in the subsequent few weeks in case you've faith you're pregnant and characteristic had 3 useful checks.

say you just found out you are pregnant (by urine pregnancy test?) and need to make an appointment. They will probably have you come in for another pregnancy test, just for them to verify, then schedule you for your first prenatal appointment when you are around 9-12 weeks pregnant.

For me, I just called and told them I had a positive home pregnancy test. Then they asked my when the first day of my last period was (they don't see pregnant women before 8 weeks at my OBGYN). Before my first visit with the doctor I met with a nurse who went over all the financial stuff as well as the medical history forms.

Just tell whoever answers the phone that you are pregnant and need an exam. I don't think there is a special word for it. They will want to do a test when you get there just to confirm it, then they well probably give you a pelvic exam and some vitamins.

First they are going to determine that you are pregnant by asking you some questions, like when did you see your last period, collect some urine, maybe take some blood, do your weight, blood presure and if you are pregnant they will give you a little counceling session, the Dr. I see they gave me a book and told me to read it from cover to cover. And as far as what to say tell them that you suspect that you are pregnant and can they do a pregnancy test on you.
