well i don't think that the new balance of power in washington let this happend. Any military action against Iran is highly dangerous for the US forces, first of all Iran is three times the lenght of irak and more population, US forces even can't control iraq, in the other hand iran have the bigest coast shore in the persian gulf (iran =persia, persian gulf, their gulf) and they can hit USN aircraft carriers from there with their new missiles, the shii group of iraq would rise in mass against the us forces in iraq and the backward of the us army would be in terrible risk, iran have an almost unlimited supply of weapons from the north border. Russia is suppling them with weapons like the new TOR missile system that can hit the F-117 the B-2 and even the tomahawks. Russia and China are giving weapons to iran to stop the usa moves in the middle east and get the oil of iraq and iran for their own companies. it was obvious fron the begining that iran would be the biggest power in the region when US destroy saddam and well babylon is always an unresistible dish for a hungry persian empire, it happend before with cyrus and with the sassaninds and is happening again with the awful strategic mistake of Bush, without the taleban and without saddam and with a every day bigger and bigger debt of the US and their failure at fight guerrilla warfare, they shouldnt attack iran, well if they dont want to find their own battle of hadrianople in persia and see the final rise of china to the top of the power in the world

In the present environment escalation in Iraq would seem incentive for anti US forces to escalate efforts dramatically in an all out effort to continue to destabilize Iraq and thus further prove Bushes blunder in Iraq. Furthermore it is difficult for me to believe that those in the know at the executive level are not perfectly aware that the chances are better than good that escalation in Iraq will incur acts of terrorism in the slums exponentially. The only explanation I can fathom is that they are intentionally fanning the flames for the purpose of producing terrorists acts heretofore unimagined in order to justify threading the war on into Iran and procure the funding required to do so. Increase in rhetoric concerning Iran’s weapons and munitions support that has historically already been known for years only lends credibility to this assessment.

I don't believe there will be a war with Iran unless Iran does something stupid like go after Israel.

He did not have to write a new speech. All he had to do is substitute the word Iran for Iraq. I truly do not think he will get the backing of congress on this. But I was wondering if there is a way he can go around Congress, such as a veto. I am really worried.

oh hell yeah......lets just go back to conquering countries...let the strongest survive!
but all jokes aside, it is almost certain that we are going to go to war with Iran, they have been supplying terrorists with arms and upsetting America for a long time now....not just G.W. There's always going to be war, that's just human nature....we are all evil and greedy to some extent, some are just more than others! And there's never going to be a compromise between the Muslims, Palestinians, Jews, catholics, Christians, Buddhists...etc. all at the same time.

Our Govt. is trying to create the mindset of the public just like it did before the war with Iraq. There is no reason to go to war with Iran when Osama Bin Ladin is still alive and living in Afghanistan. What happened to "bringing them to justice, who ever did this to us". Forgot 9/11?

no ones forgotten 9/11 dont be stupid
i dont think the gov needs to hype the fact that iran hates us because iran does it enough themselves
we need to defend ourselves but that doesnt mean leaving our soil unless there is a specific target
lets just defend
not defend by attacking
