MEEE!!!! It does nothing for single & miserable people, like me, & just makes us feel worse. I feel like I'm being punished because I'm single & about 90% of my friends are happily married...and some with kids. It's not my fault I'm single! My most recent bf dumped me because he chose work over having a gf & had no time for me. There aren't too many other good guys around here either...ugh. I don't see the reason for a national holiday to show someone that you love them when you can do that any other friggin day of the friggin year.....it's a joke of a holiday. GEEEZ!
Love the name by the way....my niece's name is also Savana (that's how we spelled it).

I am with Connie on this one. Every day should be Valentines Day with the one you love. We don't need to mark a day in the calendar to show our appreciation for each other. The best gifts I have ever given and received from my wife were always spur of the moment, just because gifts.

It's not stupid at all!!! It's wonderful!!! For the people that say "why do we need this day to tell someone we love them?", well, you can say the same about Mother's Day or Father's Day. Why a special day to show them you love them? You should show your love everyday.
Quit being so anti-Valentine's Day!! Show some LOVE!

In my school, i am constantly tortured by "Ohhh, you like her!" This occurs every day. Ive learned how to deal with it but show some maturity!
Valentine's day only triples this persecution. I know, its dumb, but it is draining.
I don't think V Day is stupid, but i could certainly live without it.

I don't think it is stupid at all - however I do think it is stupid that we have all gotten so caught up in our lives that most of us don't make time for romance or doing sweet things for our partner, so we need a "special" day in order to do that.

I do too, and so does my gf.
the only reason it exists is for hallmark to make money. And girls will continue to perpetrate this fraudulent holiday so long as they keep making it a contest about "my boyfriend bought me this" or "he sent me 1000 red roses with the severed head of a muslim on top- beat that".
