Please do not respond with broad answers, like "because he is the best president ever and he is doing great things for america and killing terrorists," please be more specific, with cold hard facts. Links to references would be great. No Fox news links please....

Voodoo Punk: Nice try. But having a president that doesn't listen to the voices of the American people does not make him a great president. As a matter of fact, I think it does the complete opposite. Only dictators do as they please without regarding thier people's opinions. He's one of my favorite Bush clips, straight from the horse's mouth: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YNo0_klKzis

Jeepers: Thank you for taking the time to provide me with real facts, and data to back them up. I knew about the VA increase, as my boyfriend is a diabled veteran, and the education increase. I thank you for the links. Which one of those links shows me that data on our $1.4 trillion increase in exports. Last I heard, we have a pretty huge trade debt to China because we import so much and don't export.

not blaming that all on Bush, but what's his plan of action on that?

P.S. I don't find it funny for a president of a county who gave many lives for freedon to "make jokes" about how much easier it would be to accomplish his agenda if he were a dictator.

Well lets list some reason to like Bush:

Bush increased Federal education funding from 40 billion in 2001 to 88 billion in the 2007 budget. A 120% increase in 6 years.

Compare that to the Clinton administration who increased Federal Education funding just 14 billion dollars 50% in 8 years.

Bush has increased the VA budget from 47 billion in 2001 to 80 billion in 2007, A 70% increase in just 6 years.

Compare that to the Clinton administration who increased Va funding from 37 billion to 47 billion 30% in 8 years.

Bush has increased corporate tax revenue from 10% to 14.6% of all federal tax revenue, the largest share in over 30 years.

American exports in 2006 rose to record levels of 1.4 trillion dollars.

Bush has increased Federal AIDS funding from 13.9 billion to 22.8 billion in 6 years, A 64% increase.

I provided links in order to support each post.

While I can understand someone not agreeing with some of Bush's policies, I can not fathom the total disregard and hate spewed at ALL of Bush's policies, just because they came from Bush.

Asami, new link added for exports, link also provides trade deficit info too.

The trade deficit is not because exports are falling, it is because we are importing so much more.

If people don't want a high trade deficit, they can lower it by JUST NOT BUYING foreign made goods, I don't think it's the governments job to force people not to buy chinese, japanese or german products........do you ?

While tariffs sound nice at first, countries that we apply tarriffs to, tend to put tariffs on our exports into those countries.

I see the governments job, as opening up markets for our exports, not limiting my choices of what to buy here in America.

As to the "negative savings rate" , the analyst who did that story, did not add the 401k's that most americans have into their savings figures.

Feel free to take a look at the 30 other times I've answered this question.

What cold hard facts are you expecting regarding whether or not somebody likes someone? One of the reasons I like the president is because he refuses to cater to polls and stands firm in the face of a fickle public that has no idea what it takes to win a war. What type of source would you like from me to back that up? Do I need to cite an article where someone voices the same opinion?

Why are you anti-Bush? Please link to sources. And no CBS, NBC, CNN, MSNBC, Salon.com, Democratic Underground, LA Times, New York Times links please.

@Asami - Oh, ok, I get it. Your opinion is supposed to trump my opinion for some reason you've yet to express. The President is accountable for his actions every 4 years. There's a reason why each term doesn't last a week, a month, or even a year. It's because our founding fathers knew that the leader of our country needed to be free to make decisions that may not immediately be popular but were for the good of the country in the long term. Btw, a joke the President made doesn't really back up your assertion at all.

I am pro-President Bush because he drives the anti-American nuts absolutely bonkers. He has also stood up to the terrorists and is working hard to prevent another 9/11. Appointing judges who care about the Constitution. Cutting taxes so Americans can keep more of their hard-earned money. By the way shouldn't you also limit the libs from using CNN, CBS, ABC, NBC when they answer a question. Oh I forgot, you only want to hear the anti-American response.

President Bush's response to 9/11, when 90% of the country approved of his presidency. His economic policies helped end the recession early, I share many of the same economic and foriegn policy views as he does, though not very many of the same social views. He increased military spending, cut taxes, cut useless social programs, through sound fiscal policy has managed to cut the deficet caused mostly by our military conflicts in half, and should be eridicated by 2012. Can you tell me why you dislike him? Use facts instead of broad answers with no real backing, like "bush lied", and " no war for oil"?

Because the democrap policies and candidates are infinitely worse than anything Bush or the Repuglicans could ever come up with. Where do the dems find these people? Sheesh!

Because he has BALZ. After 8 years of Clintoon, I didn't even care about politics. But after 9/11 and Bush's response, I realized what a pivotal point the US was in. We could lie down and be slaughtered like sheeple, or we could take the fight to our enemies.

Now, not only do we have to worry about the enemy abroad, we have to worry about liberals fighting a psy-op battle against us in our own country.

The only criticism I have of Bush is that he doesn't lash out at the democrats enough and he still hasn't pardoned Compean and Ramos.

Because he makes good decisions and isn't influenced by the far left idiots out there. He stands up for what he believes in. He has cut taxes over a trillion dollars and is fighting terrorism and keeping our country safe.

I like Bush because he can make a decision with checking 10 polls first. He's not always right (illegal immigration), but he stands behind his ideas and his principles and doesn't cave to the whims of the masses.
