Well the hospital won't let you leave with the baby until they have a name to put on the birth certificate, so I guess as long as you want your baby to be in the hospital and you paying the bill that insurance won't pay for. However I had a 2 year old in one of my classes and his mom found his dad and after testing he was the real father that time around so then they change the child's name to his father's name but juinor. So you can legally change it whenever you want. Also my grandma was Elvera but the nurse didn't like that name so the nurse gave my grandma a different name on her birth certificate and my grandma was only and always known as Elvera not the other name. So I guess you could name your kid Bob and call him Tom and on one would really care.

I have a friend that had a baby twin girls.... probably 20 years ago now. She wanted to let the girls pick their own names. When they were 5 they decided one wanted to be Cinderella and the other Anastasia. She waited for a few more years to make it legal but we called them that in the mean time. They were happy.

I believe it is when you leave the hospital with your child. You can still have a nameless baby even after they're born, because sometimes a child will have a name bracelet that says "Male Lastname" or "Female Lastname" instead of their first name. But once you finally fill out the birth certificate, you have to have a name for them. And I don't think you can leave the hospital without a birth certificate.

If you can't decide on a name before you leave the hospital just have them put "Baby Smith or Jones" or whater your last name is on the birth certificate and change it when you settle on a name you like.

When it is born and you fill out the birth certificate you need to have a name for it. By the time you leave the hospital you have to have it named.

THAT call seems a touch unusual... it is like naming your toddler Oprah or some thing else. in case you opt for an excellent call it truly is unique pass for it! do purely not call him names that are recognize throughout. in case you opt for help, get the "perfect infant call e book" It has tons off unique names... pass for it! I hate having a similar call as different little ones! purely no longer Hercules... he would get made exciting of.

It depends on the state. In Colorado you have 30 days to put a name on the birth certificate - you don't have to do it immediately in the hospital.
