no my mind isn't weak or I would be too stupid to see their controlling "Effort"...notice I didn't they are always successful

Because they can't handle power; it goes to their heads and swells it - it's sad but that's the conclusion I've come too. Only very few can handle it, it's a shame their aren't more of those than the others.
I've often prayed that should I ever get a leadership position that I WILL never let it get to me like that. That's in terms of bosses on the jobs.
As for people in general, it's because of the same reason and if not that then it's because of insecurity.

well, i have this simple theory where people will do what "works." if you look at their lives a little more closely, some bossy/controlling people were made to be that way because they needed to be (they might've been abused, etc.).
it is how they know how to be in the world; it "works" for them.
