It is a mark of respect for ones Fellow Human Beings.A civilised person will be kind, dignified, respectful, peace loving, refined, tasteful, polite, Honourable, to others.

The word 'civilised' really means city dweller (as in Civic) , but I presume you do not ask in that sense.
Probably the best mark of being civilised is to treat all other people civilly...as if they were as important as oneself.

A civilized person should be civil. Knowing the manners fitting for their society, and willing to learn those of another society to get along with those that live there.

In my opinion manners, kindness, honesty and not people-pleasing make a civilized person. By manners I mean politness as well as table manners.

A civilized person is one who stays in their own country and does everything they can to make it a civilized country, instead of invading a country that is already "civilized".
