Awwww, Valentine's Day is a really rough holiday for single people, and for a lot of couples, too if that helps. I'm dating long distance, and I personally plan on celebrating by myself with a lot of chocolate, which I highly recommend.
It sounds like your one friend is being a bit of a doofus, to put it politely. He sounds like he is trying to be someone he is not, and is unwisely burning bridges. Things like this rarely work out for the people who try to pull it off, so I'd just realize that he made a poor decision and wait for him to figure it out. And in the meantime, don't let him copy your homework!! If you are really curious, you could ask how the party was, and if you are willing to risk getting a hurtful answer, you can always ask why you weren't invited. But don't think too much on it, by the sounds of it he didn't want to hurt you, he was just being an idiot.
The other one may just be miserable because it's Valentine's Day. I know that this holiday, more than any other, has the power to turn normal, sensible human beings into raging beasts--give him a few days and see if he snaps out of it.
Feel better, eat some chocolate, if you are in the Northeast go play in the snow, and realize you are not alone!

Well, this is a tough love thing that is hard when you are young. But Valentine's Day has hearts in it, but the real hearts aren't always there on the same day, they show up at different times during the year. Today is a day to think about how to keep the one's you love just in tune with the love you have for them, so that when the love is ready it will shine out, on the right day--just like when the sun comes out naturally. You'll see, keep smiling because the sun shines even on a cloudy day, and the rain comes even on Valentine's Day. It's not timed with the holidays you know. Love has a season and reasons of its own.

Dont take it to heart, you know think of life is sometimes you are at the top of the ferris wheel and then sometimes you are at the bottom. Right now you feeling bad, it sounds like your friend is insecure and inviting people who dont have much to do with him and he seems to want their approval. Your other friend may be just going through his own stuff. You should tell your friend who didnt invite you how it hurt you. He deserves to be feeling guilt he hurt you. I can bet there are alot of people out there who think you have what it takes to be a real friend. Take heart you will find new friends who appreciate your kind heart and your personality. Chin up things will improve.

Im not sure how old you are, but as you get older you will learn.. there is no such thing as cool and uncool. Be happy knowing you are the better person. Let him go, trust me he will come back, that is if you would take him back as your friend.

A lonely seagull flies the winds
Majestic... soaring...gliding wings
A single screech sounds from the sky
Come fly with me... come here and fly
My spirit floats to be a part
I feel the beating of its heart
My soul, one with this bird of sea
Now knows the meaning to fly free
I feel the winds caress my soul
And soar the streams without a goal
My being trembles of delight
A treasure I received tonight
The seagull's flight of soaring high
The gift of what it means to fly.
Sweetie That was one of my poems, don't let that get to you he or she will remember you . don't worry
