ask ur doctor if its something that the baby is taking from ur body to make ur skin like this. (more than likely it is) then the doctor can tell u what u should do or take. or u could try some oil of olay product for evening skin tone. there is also a soap called "black soap" that really works on spots in the skin to even skin tone.

Your dry flakey skin might be due to a bit of dehydration. When You are pregnant you generally need more fluid intake than usual.
Another thing is the changes in your skin may be hormonal and if that is so, that will be hard to avoid. I suggest the "cleanse, tone and moisturize" regimen. It reallly helps. Use gentle products like the Neutrogena, Almay or Clean and Clear products available at drugstore chains.
An old relative of mine looked at my uneven skin tone and correctly predicted that I was having a son!
Best of all, try the "face towel" method I suggested for someone who asked about getting better skin. Here's the link:

Also, I answered a question regarding dry skin, too.

I hope you go to the links and find something helpful that will work for you. You may want to treat yourself to a natural scrub, too. Try taking a tablespoon or two of sugar and whole milk and use it as a facial scrub after you cleanse your face. Rinse of with lukewarm water as warm/hot water can dry the skin even more. Don't forget to moisturize.
Just remember, these hormonal changes are temporary. Just think of the wonderful bundle you're waiting for. Take care of your skin as best you can, keep it from getting worse by staying out of harsh sun (good rule of thumb: if you have to BE outside, make sure your shadow is larger than you are) - use sunblock, and drink lots of water.
Happy pregnancy! Think beautiful, too. You will glow with it :)

ok try this. exfoliate your face with an apricot scrub or something similar, use luke warm water and when you are finished(right after you scrub your face) use baby lotion on your face. the scrub takes off all the dead skin cells, dry skin and any oils that are on your face and it gives you pretty much a clean pallet to work with. the warm water will open up your pores and you want to put the baby lotion on right after because your pores will still be open and it's better to fill it with moisture than with oil or dry air. i knwo you may think the baby lotion is strange but it is better to use a more natural moisturizer on your face than anything else and the baby lotion is more natural and is very gentle on your skin. i guarantee you your face will feel baby soft when you get done. if you try to do this at least every day it will work much better for a more long term result.
i do that every day and i actually had the idea for the baby lotion when i had realized i didn't have any and my daughters was sitting right there so i tried it and voila!! i love it. my face is smooth, even and not flaky and i live in WI where it is freezing this time of year!

Are you early in your pregnancy? Because when I was pregnant, I had wonderful skin! Ecspecially near the end. You should just get a great facial moisturizer- try Proactiv Oil free moisturizer. It is the best moisturizer I have every used on my face- it doesn't make your face oily, it just makes it look healthy. Then try some Bare Escentuals makeup, it will make your skin tone look a lot more even.

Go to the makeup counter at the mall and ask them what kind of products they have to even out skin tone there is some really good stuff out there. It is probably just due to the changes in your body and will most likely go back to normal after you have your baby. Also try getting a nice foundation bare minerals works great it is light coverage that will cover up discoloration in skin:) congratulations on the baby!

You need to moisturize befor aplying makeup. Try facial creams for dry skin. The best way to do this is go to a department store and have a makeup artist try some on your skin. Although I heard that Pond's makes a nice face cream at drugstores like Longs's. I use creams at night but you can use it anytime.

Congratulations and I hope your children a healthy and happy delivery.
Now on to matters. OK, First and foremost are you doing your daily vitamins as per prenatal care? Secondly, are you doing in house humidifiers to keep your skin moisturized? Thirdly are you using harsh body washes and or non-soap soaps?
I use two whole house humidifiers, I make my own home made glycerin moisturizer soap and eat right. Never hurts to use Aloe vera and vitamin E skin care lotions or real coco butters.
If you want my simple skin care soap recipe email me for the instructions.

Mostly it might be the hormones affect your body and skin. Make sure you drink enough water and eat healthy food. Avoid fried food!
