you could always ask your doctor to induce. But keep in mind that due dates are more like guidelines than hard and fast rules. I would wait.

I would NOT recommend asking for an induction, they scheduled one for me and it went horribly wrong and I had to have an emergency c-section, and not all inductions work, some women are simply sent home after hours of an attempted induction because your body doesn't always progress as planned..
I also read that someone suggested VODKA, what a twit...no alcohol during pregnancy (at any stage) is safe.
You can try self induction but it doesn't work unless baby is ready...self induction methods include sex, nipple stimulation, walking...honestly though, babies come when they are ready for the most part...and as someone else stated...if this is your first child, they do tend to come late. I was 5 days late with my first and 2 weeks early with my 2nd (who is 71/2 weeks old).
Try to be patient and enjoy your evening...It may very well be your last Valentines alone with your man for a very long time. :)

Dont rush things. Due dates are not perfect predictions, they are usually wrong and are hardly ever right. They are simply an estimate. As long as nothing is wrong with your baby the longer he stays in the womb the healthier he will be. As of right now he is in a perfect enviroment that gives him totall immunitie to the the diseases of the world, will letting him to continue to develop. Don't worry about him being born on v-day, let things happen as they will and if you are seriously over due contact your doctor.
ps theres always presidents day

call the doctor ask him to induce the labor.or start it.
Maybe the baby isnt fully developed or youre just not ready. If nothings wrong you shouldnt worry about it.
Some people have children at 10 months.

ITs too late to schedule a induction for today
as for the vodka, OJ, castor oil? (as suggested above )
Dont recommend it as all you will do is get intoxicated
( bad for the baby)
with the runs

Personally, I wouldn't want to have my child birthday the same as a big holiday. People won't ever be able to come to birthday parties because they have other plans, and as your child gets older they'll want to go out to celebrate the holiday but won't be able to cause they'll have to celebrate their birthday instead.
