I wld say it is definitely Bangkok in Thailand. A real sex industry is booming in Bangkok and it is a legal business there. Drinks & ladies are cheap, so are the food, accomodation and expenses are low as well. Thus, the best sex tourism you can find in Asia is in Bangkok. And that's the reason why so many tourists are going to Bangkok for sex trading business.
Apart from that, I wld say Singapore is considered as No.2 and is greatly also involved with an increasing number in sex industry in the recent years. More & more china ladies are invading into Singapore for sex trade.
And No.3 will be Batam of Indonesia, so many Singaporean guys are visiting their mistresses and prostitutes over there. The ladies are cheap and their living standards are also very low. first of all, why the hell are all your questions in this format??? second, what is your basis for that claim of 1 million sex-workers? whatever. to answer your questions as best i can, the philippines is not the number one country in south asia with regards to sex tourism. but one of the main reasons for the philippines being known for this is from clark and subic. why the poverty and decay? bad governance and leadership. even if every single filipino on this country were to work as hard as they can to support our economy, it won't mean sh*t if our leaders look only after themselves. the philippine government can be likened to a hydra. cut off a head and it doesn't solve the problem, 2 more take its place. corruption is way too common here, even down to the individual level, that i personally think that there is little hope for change in this country.

Bangkok is well known for it's sex industry. Many people think foreigners drive the sex industry in Thailand. The sex trade has been well established before Westerners arrived. Today as in the past, locals make up the largest group, over 50%, who exchange money for sex.
Singapore and Jakarta also have a large sex trade, but are more discreet about it.
