your hair needs moisture, moisture, moisture. You need a deep conditioning treatment. By this I mean...find you a conditioner, that contain humectants (htey attract moisture). Shampoo your hair with a shampoo for dry hair....no blues or green poos. apply ouyour conditioner liberally.....wrap your head in plastic wrap. take a towel and place it in teh dryer....and let it get nice and warm.....wrap it around your head for about 10 - 15 min....when your first towell cools....replace it with another warm towel, and thorw the first one back in teh dryer to get warm. and repeat. then rinse your hair very well. You are going to want to find mousse or gel with little or no alchol....which can dry out your hair. How can you tell how much alchol a product has.....well it will either say no alchol......and if it has alchol in it.....as long as it is not in the top five of the listed ingredient. When you look on product bottles....under ingredients......they are listed in order as to how much of that is in teh bottle.....so if the first ingredient say water.....then the product has alot of water. Best of luck......it will take some time for your hair to get back to normal.....Also adoid shampooing every day.....every other or third day.....now if you have a oily scalp...then you have to do what you have to do. But do a conditionint treatment like I described at least twice a week for about 2 weeks....and see how it feels......then cut back to just once a week for 2 weeks....then maybe jsut deep condition it every other week until your hair is in better shape......and always apply conditioner in between teh deep conditioning. I would also sugest going to your local salon, and ask for their recomendations on products to use for dry hair. Best of luck.

These shampoos: Paul Mitchell Super Skinny, Loreal Vive (orange bottle), Pantene Smooth & Sleek, Umberto Giannini Straightening, Pantene Ice Shine in that order are all great for smoothing frizz. Even if your hair is curly, a "straightening" shampoo smooths the cuticle shaft and reduces frizz.

Pantene Smooth & Sleek or Ice Shine are pretty great conditioners. Also, a conditioning mask or hot oil treatment once a week will really help to soften your hair and calm it down a bit.

Well, from personal experience of having natural curls, I can totally relate to the frizz. Sometimes, shampoo or conditioner can even be the cause being that it contains tons of alcohol in its ingredients making it dry out and split after long term use. Your best bet is to try using products directed specifically for the purpose of moisturizing. For extra rejuvenation, try applying olive oil (this really works, and can be bought off the shelf at any grocery store) or cholesterol cream (which can be found in most beauty stores such as Sally's) for 3-5 mins once a week to bring it back to life. Best advice I'd even gotten from my stylist. :)

There is this new product from Viv Pro that has shampoos and conditioners for every hair type even flat hair. My adive to you is even with the right products you need to avoid blow driers and styling tools as much as possible to avid frizz. I stopped using blow driers completely and it helped a lot. I use curling irons every other day but I still have dry hair.
Also, use a leave-in conditioner that is thick like Paul Mitchell ($8for 8 onces) at your local hair and beauty products store.(not grocery or hair salons which charge more).

use Victoria Secret's hair line products for dry hair. They are awesome! They have a shine serum that smells great and makes your hair super smooth (its in a glass red bottle). I have curly hair and this hair line have totally fixed my hair. Gardnier also has a Gel like substance that is very sticky. I think they call it "putty" something ...the point is that that helps to control frizz.

Trust me girl if you have hair like i do then shampoo won't do the trick. Try wetting it and putting mouse in it an hair spray. I have to do it everyday and it will not dry your hair out.
