I think you mean the so-called Travel Tax e-petition on the Downing St official website.

1,435,278 signatures at 20:17 on 14/2/07

Actually, on re-reading your question, I think you just mean the e-petitions on the Downing St site. Just go to http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/

There are loads, and yes, some of them could be classified as silly:

http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/juggle/
http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/goldanthem/
http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/Frisbee/
http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/huntingactrepeal/

But others are quite sensible:
http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/solarpanels/
http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/Floodlighting/
http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/Banfur/
http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/antihunting/

This is only one, but it's silly enough.
They are putting forth this petition in hopes that it will be passed by the people, then overturned by the court. Logic! What do they teach in the schools these days?
