Nah, men's silk long underwear is cheaper, more durable and not likely to cause odd looks form others. Your local sporting goods or "outdoorsman" type store will have some. As a bonus, you can get a long sleeved shirt of the same material to keep your torso warm as well as your legs.

No, they also are excellent support for people who work on Cement all day, supporting the veins. They actually help keep down the occurrence of varicose veins and the pain involved with them.

i usually wear pantyhose under my jeans when i go outside in winter. it feels nice and it does help keep the warmth in.. go for it..
