He's not just focused on gaining the powers of others. It's also about killing anyone who could pose a threat. He wants to be unique, to be the only one of his kind, which means killing all the other people who possess special powers.

Sylar is psychotic..in his mind he has a reason...but its something only he knows. And I disagree with Ameerah statement that Claire can't die. In the Hero's episode when the jock caused Claire to be impaled through the head with the wood she died...it was only until that foreign object was removed that she regenerated...so concievably she could be "killed" and who knows how much of her body she can regenerate.

I wouldn't say he necessarily had no problems, but he does appear to have some limited regeneration power. Claire, on the other hand, came back from an autopsy, and he'll have to go some to beat that.

I believe Sylar wants to be the ultimate power. He wants all the powers that exists. That is why he wants Claire's powers as well as everyone else's.

Well the regeneration powers he has may not be as strong as Claire's. Or it may be that he is difficult to hurt but when he does get hurt he doesn't heal as quickly? Hm, hard to tell.

He can probably do surgery on himself with his (1) natural ability to understand how things work (2) freezing ability and (3) telekinesis and (4) ability to control his own internal body functions, not to mention his and his (5) perfect computerlike memory (of medical texts) could help also.

I'll bet in a later episode they show him operating on himself.

Because technically he can still die. Think about it: every hero he has encountered he's been able to kill - except Claire. He can die, it may take awhile but it can be done. Claire can't die. He'd be literally unstoppable.

Good question.

That show is really starting to get lame now. And they keep dragging all the subplots on and on.

FOCUS PEOPLE!!

The writers definitely need to streamline the story.
