The color of the next president is not what we need to worry about.
This world is so screwed up, does it matter what color he/she is ? Whether he's black, white or hispanic, can he really solve all of the social, economic and environmental problems this world has?

I am hoping Barack Obama will be elected. I hope race could make a difference. Since his family is a virtual UN, I think he will be able to see all sides to issues. I like his diversity having two races in his blood and having been exposed to various religions. I really hope he will spend more time helping Africa and the AIDS issues there. I think he will give good balance and I am not really ready for the Clinton family to go back to the White House. I am getting sick of so much money going to pay for wars and not helping people get fresh water or finding a cure for AIDS. The color of the skin means nothing. I think all lies in the mind of the person from what the person has experienced and learned from those experiences. I think Barack Obama might be on a good path. The president should "not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character" to borrow from Dr. King.

I am white...so I am walking on thin ice with what I am about to say...BUT...

I do not think that the next president should be black, hispanic, or female. That does no mean that I will vote for the white man running. I just think that if someone from a minority grouo becomes the president, they may abuse the power just to make their place known. ALSO< if a black man, a woman, etc runs for president, they may win for the worng reasons, not because they are the best candidtae.

Good ole LDS. If the voters decide on color it would be construed as supporting a cause and hopefully the candidate will accept the awesome responsibility of running this country.

Being Caucasian, with more research I could support any person who has same or similar beliefs as me.

Color matters not. Through study of the Bible it is clear that the whole world is lying in the power of Satan. Jesus taught us to give our all to Jehovah, not a man.

It will be good to have a black president, because it will be a real beginning of unity between cultures, we whites are no longer a majority in this country, and our children are changing that by marrying into other races and cultures, and that is what will change our attitudes towards one another, the old and hardcore racists are dying out, and the future for our children looks bright, and by this just maybe discrimination, and hatred for one another will finally disperse

Yes it does matter this country wants a good old fashioned racist white man the last thing they are gonna do is let a black man win.

I don't have a problem with it personally. But in this society there are racist out there they care. They want to be in power and they don't care how we run our government. I beleive that if a black or a women ran it might make an nation a little bit stronger who knows. The only way we will find out is if it happens.

You are right....race does not matter, but the new president will have as many difficulties if not more than the current president. No president to date has been able to please everyone and the one we have now is leaving more problems for the next guy than he inheritied when he took office, that's for sure.

I am ready for a fresh approach!
