I always used to burn it, but if you listen to the popping, when it slows down to about 3 secs between pops, you need to take it out the microwave! I never burn it anymore. It's a real pain though! Happy popping :)

Microwave temperatures vary so you can't always go by how long the bag says to put it in for. What you do is when you know the corn is about in its last min...you go by the microwave and when the popping starts to slow down..like if you hear popping between 2 to 3 seconds apart, your corn should be done,so take it out...because it will start burning. You will always have some popcorn seeds left..that's why your corn probably burns..you keep hearing popping,so you leave it be that's how I used to burn my corn,so just listen to it..it works. Good Luck!!

I never burn it. On my microwave it takes 2 mins 20 seconds. If it sounds like the popping slows down too much I shut it off. Watch the size of the bag and how far between pops are.

I have. I you just have to stand by the microwave and listen to it. Once there is pause for about 2 seconds you turn off the microwave. It is all on the back of the bag. Just read it.

It's easy not to. Wait until the pops are approximately 2 seconds apart. AND use the popcorn setting, if possible!

it's possible. here's a tip: don't use the popcorn button on the microwave. the average time needed is just 3 minutes.

Try putting it on a box, or something to raise it off of the oven floor, then as it pops, listen for the popping to slow down to where its not continuous.
