i need help on a project that im doing for class. i have to make a 5 day menu with all 3 meals, based upon the following numbers: 1853 calories, 278 grams of protein, 566 grams of fat and 1019 grams of carbohydrates. THERE IS TO BE NO ALCOHOL! these numbers are daily and cannot be carried over to the next day. the calories can be +/- 100, but the others have to be near or a wee bit over their limits. im doing the best i can but its giving me a migraine.

the subject is a 29 y/o male with a moderate activity level weighing 170 pounds. i got 1853 by multiplying 170 by 10.9 then that number by 1.7. then i times that by 0.15 for the protein, 0.30 for fat and 0.55 for the carbs.

any help would be appreciated.

WHOA-some errors I see-

Only 1853 calories for a 29 year old male? 10.9 calories per pound is probably a low sedentary amount NOT a moderate activity level. That would be 14.3 wouldn't it?

carbs and protein ar 4 calories a gram and fat 9 calories a gram so you have some problems with your calcs. I think you are using the term gram (i.e. 278 grams protein, etc.) when you meant calorie.

Are 15% protein, 30% fat, and 55% carbs the numbers you were given to work with?
