Iran's support for the insurgents has been known for 4 years. And isn't that much of a threat. We've lost over 3100 troops--and even BushCo isn't claiming that more than 170 have been due to Iranian-supplied weapons. And the Pentagon has come out and said the accusations against the Iranian government are exaggerated at best.

Bush and company know their "surge" is going to fail. They're simply trying to set Iran up as the scapegoat so they can avoid accountability--and in the process expand the war (and thus their profits).

In the present environment escalation in Iraq would seem incentive for anti US forces to escalate efforts dramatically in an all out effort to continue to destabilize Iraq and thus further prove Bushes blunder in Iraq. Furthermore it is difficult for me to believe that those in the know at the executive level are not perfectly aware that the chances are better than good that escalation in Iraq will incur acts of terrorism in the slums exponentially. The only explanation I can fathom is that they are intentionally fanning the flames for the purpose of producing terrorists acts heretofore unimagined in order to justify threading the war on into Iran and procure the funding required to do so. Increase in rhetoric concerning Iran’s weapons and munitions support that has historically already been known for years only lends credibility to this assessment.

Actually, he's just reporting to the country at large what the military reported in press releases and statements from Iraq. Do you realize how ridiculous liberals sound when saying that Bush is provoking Iran by simply acknowledging that they're providing weapons to the terrorists and insurgents who kill Americans every day? It's like a serial killer is on a crime spree, and the chief of police says they know who it is, but instead of attempting to apprehend the killer, people complain that the police chief is antagonizing him by releasing his name!

About what's next? I wish the rest of the world would get a pair and actually enforce sanctions against Iran. Sadly, I think it will continue to devolve to the point of war.

Yes he is. But you seem to forget there have been plenty of weapons fragments found tying them to Iran.

P.S. The useless Liberals during Ronald Reagans presidency were always claiming he would start WWIII, too. It never happened, and the same holds true to this day.......Liberals are always wrong.

I think Bush is up **** creek with this one. Looks like he may have to bite the bullet. Iraq and Iran banding together to take on the U.S? The enemy of my enemy is my friend.
