Does pro-choice really translate to pro-abortion??

Come on now! Im very pro-choice in situations like rape and incest, terminal malformities and diseases or if the mother may die. But I am in no way, for aborting an embryo or fetus as a form of birth control, i.e. some chic that can't keep her legs shut!

Is that not reasonable??

that's exactly how I feel about it too. If someone gets pregnant because they aren't careful and doesn't want the baby, they should give it for adoption. There are so many people out there desperate for what they would throw away! There are several legitimate reasons for abortion, that is not among them.

I usually don't like to answer these kind of questions because I am so against abortions that I usually receive some wrath for answering them. In some cases it is necessary like you said but I do not consider those rare cases to make me pro-choice. To me pro-choice is someone saying they have the right to decide to abort a fetus just because they do not want it. I really wish that it was used only when necessary but some do not agree.

First of all, killing innocent human beings is never "reasonable."

Would you kill a one-year-old because her father was a rapist? If not, why is the child in the womb fair game? Is she less worthy of life than the rest of us because of the circumstances of her conception? Should children be punished with death for the crime of their fathers? In the case of incest, abortion allows the molester to cover up the evidence of his crimes and continue his abuse. It is often the molester who pushes for abortion.

In the case of "malformities," what kind of society are we when we advocate killing children who may be ill or disabled? Who are WE to say that their lives are not worth living because they may be more difficult or shorter than our own? Why not kill already born children who may suffer, as well, if that is the "compassionate" solution? Being ill is not a crime worthy of death! We are all imperfect. We will all die. That doesn't mean anyone else has the right to kill us. For more on this topic, see:

It should also be noted that a study of 300 autopsies of aborted babies found that only 39% confirmed the prenatal diagnosis. The doctors were wrong 61% of the time when diagnosing a problem prenatally. This is statistic is from the excellent book Defiant Birth:

At least 480 American physicians have testified that abortion is NEVER necessary to save the life of a mother:

Yes, "pro-choice" does translate to pro-abortion. From http://www.deathroe.com/Pro-life_Answers :

"...there is no reason to be opposed to abortion except the recognition that it is the killing of a child. So what these people are really saying is,'“I would never kill my baby, but I wouldn’t stop someone else from killing their baby.”

To see how truly asinine that is, imagine someone who says, “I would never own a slave, but I wouldn’t stop someone else from owning one.” Could we honestly conclude that such a person is opposed to slavery?"

Pro-choice people are basically, pro-abortion. but if a chick can't keep aher legs shut she should have to keep the baby (I agree), But in the case of rape and incest or whatever, i would have to disagree, there is such thing as adoption. then as far as deformities, i have a cousin that was born with only two fingers, and he is perfectly fine, and happy.
but i would say you are middle of the road on pro-choice/pro-life
