I am less ashamed of the evil thugs, and more ashamed of the people of the United States. Those that voted for the thugs failed to heed the warnings of history and those that didn't vote at all failed to care. Disgusting on both sides of the fence...

Of course, but that is really just the consequence of technology and several thousand years of commerce being the tools of hidden networks of tyrants.

The only way change will happen as the result of human efforts is when the super wealthy start to realize that their selfishness only creates a life of emptiness for themselves. They have great fear, hatred and ignorance to overcome. They also have all the tools to turn the situation we are in around quickly, and we really need a quick turnaround.

Don't hate, you would be afraid too if you lived in their world of murderous monsters.

We the people must strive to find a way to teach them acceptance and make them into leaders with our compassion instead of tyrants by virtue of anarchy and distrust. We have to dream up some alternative utopian solutions and practice courage in experimentation in moving away from fascism and other forms of mindless authoritarian rhetoric.

Distrust is not the same as not trusting. We can assume horrific realities exist (like rigged voting systems and financial cabals), and plan for them but we don't have to believe that somebody will ALWAYS try to take advantage of us. Perpetual distrust just makes us into the same kind of close-minded zombies.

Our minds have to be flexible and we have to challenge all our beliefs if we can ever hope to change the status quo. Just don't return to mindless subservience if it ever happens. Intentions must ALWAYS be questioned.

No, because I do not live in Iran,Cuba, North Korea, Somalia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Mexico, Syria, Sudan, El Salvador, or any of the countries that are run by actual thugs.

I am proud to be living in the land of the free and the home of the brave, USA.

Are you doing anything to change the current situation?

If you are aware of a problem and do nothing that is something to be ashamed of.
