Why India is not a developed country even after being developing country for 60 years?

Since 1947, India has been developing country. Today -(2007)-India is again developing country. What about tomorrow?

Take a real good look at this country, The one element they do not have is the LORD JESUS. I really do not think all the things happening over there are by chance. I believe it's a judgment. I also think that America ( where i live) along with other nations will face judgments because like America we are pushing GOD out and lifting ourselves up. The only reason we are doing so well in America is because we started out with GOD, and now if you look around you can see that things are starting to change for us. And this will only get worse if we as Christians do not stand for GOD.
So I hope I gave enough to answer this question.

As per Economic theory there are five stages from under developed nation to developed nation. We are not on second stage, as narrated by you but we are now on Fourth stage. In the year 1992 India stood 155 th number in Industrial development but in 2003 India came within first ten countries. Though there are some problems like highest sick industries and non payment of loans etc.

One thing is correct that our progress speed is very low. Within few years India will come in line with developed countries. But the another question arises, that regarding more serious Social problems after development, then you will think that Mahatma Gandhiji was right, and you will prefer old days.

A country develops not by services but by royalties. We in India are very happy that today there is software boom, and job for all the educated. But, the truth is that we are only doing the clerical work for the developed countries and are being paid nuts. With so much of brain we still pay royalties to European and American companies to use their created software. There is yet no software to the credit of India. We cannot complain that India is not progressing because of corruption. India is a free economy now. Anyone who wants to set up a industry is helped by the government. India will only develop when its educated lot will stop doing the clerical work of testing and start writing codes. We have all the resources, we only need generate ideas.

Independence after British rule for century did affect the mindset of our people for long. The key figure ...father of
Nation Gandhi..gave leadership for the freedom fight and
didnot think of fighting ..even not ready to accept the political
power. The vast country with poverty looming overhead had
multiproblems... rebuilding was not so easy. The Govts.that
came to power was stable for some years under Nehru
whose time some developments took place. It was agriculturally
improved during Lal Bahadur Shastri... who gave the slogan of
Jai Jawan Jai Kisan... after that Indira gave a dynamic leadership.
But Emergency was a blackspot in her political life while Bangla
Desh formation was her plus point. A fast decsion taking leader.
Then the Political power fighting became important than the development although Rajiv gave good leadership...after which
our energy got wasted on unwanted politics. It was during the
leadership of Atal Bihari Vajapayee... again country had a good
leadership and it was during that period the NDA Govt. gave an
able President to the people in the form of Kalam. ..Whose dream is to make the country a developed nation by 2020.
Now we are on the right track dear... if the people of our country
realise that the country first and then self.. we will be No.1.

This is not the case with India only. Pakistan and other developing countries have the same story. China has set up good example for rapid development.
We must have a look at developed countries. European countries have fought two Wars. Destruction caused was unknown to human civilization. Immediately after end of hostilities,these countries concentrated of the welfare of their people. European Union is living example of human desire to live in peace and prosper. Peace, justice,honesty, unity and mutual love and understanding are road to success. Nationalism is also the root cause of many evils.

It not because of Politicians, lack of opportunity, resource, or latest technology. Its just Bcoz of negligent, irresponsible, crazy towards money, patriotic feeling less citizen of India.

We Indians(including me), Keep on blaming others, We wont take a steps to correct it. Whenever we caught by Police, We bribe them & blame them. No one wants to pay the fine & also no want to pay necessary taxes or other stuff. no one has stopped us from becoming an Politician or Government officers.

We all dream only for luxurious life, and started running towards money. We don’t care for others. Most of the youngsters want to settle down in USA,UK & other nation. if we ask the question to those peoples they will give us a question ' what is there in India?'.

Why cant we try to create some thing.

I agree it is not a easy task to convert a country.

What is India?

It is not the land within geographical boundaries. its the people who live in that land.

Solution for all the problem is try to make yourself Perfect. Not all Indians , few Indians start to do this, day by day the attitude of other Indians will change. then an Beautiful, healthy attitude India will be created.

Don’t think let others start, then I will. All changes, sacrifices should start from the very own ‘I’

I am not telling to Donate all your wealth & life for India. Try to follow all the rules. Try to stop bribing others. Try to join Public service. Try to do your Duty Properly.

What is the difference between Developed country citizens & Indians. In developed countries they do their duty perfectly. May be few are not doing it. But majority of people does it. That’s y they are developed nations.


It may take years, for all to change. If you want a Bright India in future, Tolerate the pain now.

its bcoz all (except few) politicians r corrupt. if our political system changes then india will definetly become a super power. in india if one party do some thing good the other will criticise and destroy it even though it is good. thus change in the minds of politicians can make india a developed country. also there should not be any corruption.
