I use to be a model and there are several pictures of myself out there in cyber land and now I would like to close that chapter of my life and get the photos removed. What is the best way to go about this?? Some sites have my permission and some do not, some even have signed release forms from me. Please advise.

If you are the copyright owner of the pictures you can contact the sites and request they remove them. If they don't you can take them to court. If you don't own the copyright, there is not really anything you can do. If you signed release forms, there is not much you can do either.

You will never truely be able to get rid of them all. Bt talk to an attorney and see what rights you do have because you did sign a release form, the pictures may not legally belong to you and as such cannot get them removed. As for the sites posting your pics without consent from you, they may be in violation of copyright law and any decent attorney can make the right threat to get them removed to prevent legal action.

well u would need to contact the host of these sites for the pictures to be removed. if they dont u can warn them you might take legal action against the site.

You contact the site owner and ask for the pictures to be removed manually - the site author may ask for ID.
You have rights for this to occur and I know for a fact that http://www.google.com are very helpful in this matter.

Other that that you could simply ignore the pictures:

Hope I helped...

the ones that don't have permission you can tell them to remove the pictures. the ones that do have permission... well i don't think you can do much about signed release forms.

You want all the pictures of yourself removed from the internet? Yeah... good luck with that. You can try but it's not likely to happen.

Unfortunately the only way is probably through legal action, which could become costly. There isn't any (legal) technical method you could do from your end.
