if you look on your new motherboard, you should see 2 x usb ports, well next to these you will see a larger socket with rj-45 next to it,this is a network or ethernet socket, this is were you plug your ethernet lead from your broadband router, after installing your broadband software
as a bt option 3 user myself, its just a case of inserting your broadband installation disk in your dvd-rw and follow the instructions on-screen,just choose ethernet connection when you get to that part
however its not nessecary to install the bt software if you are using a ethernet connection, only for usb connection, however if you want all the extra software such as the hub manager and the bt yahoo browser then install the software
i hope this has helped

If you are using broadband, you just need to ensure you have the tcp/ip protocol and your network card installed.

Launch Ie, tools, Internet option, connection, LAN auto detect.
