He almost comes across as happy that he has reports of Iranian troops aiding Iraqi insurgents.

so, do you think Bush will link this to Tehran or will he not start another war quite yet?

if you look at the last election in Iran.. the people don't support amininijhadassface or whatever his name is.. he'll be gone soon.. imo there is no need to go after him... and we don't even know for a fact he's behind this.. heck.. to be honest they don't know much at all about it right now other than it's happening.. not much info about the scale either...

It sure sounds that way, but I think he is hoping that with some sabre-rattling, he can get the Iranians to back down. I think he is also trying to distract attention from the dismal failure that is Iraq. I don't think he has the ability to start a full scale war against Iran, with the Congress and the country so against him. The ironic thing is that iran is probably a bigger threat to the region that Iraq was. So there are some good reasons to try to contain Iran, and his policy probably makes a certain kind of sense. Only problem is, George is like the boy who cried wolf now. The country is not about to follow him into another war.

It's not unreasonable to conclude that Iran is in fact helping Iraqi insurgents. If it's true and it can be stopped, then that would go a long way in improving conditions in Iraq.

I'm not sure what Bush's intentions are, I don't believe he's eager to start a war with Iran.

Buttom line is if these allegations are true and American soldiers are being killed by them then we should definitely retaliate with whatever means necessary.

I have never met President Bush but I am confident he would love to avoid conflict with Iran. He would also love for Iraq to improve so we can pull out our troops. Why do people assume he is eager to fight?

As far as his demeanor in public on the issue, he acts confident. That's what we expect, for our leader to project a confident image. Can you imagine a leader who acts afraid, nervous or unsure?

Iran's had an a-ss kicking comeing since the hostage thing back in the 70's. I think he's bitting at the bits to give them one. I think like Patton, as long as we're there let's take care of business. In fact I think every president has wanted to and it's comeing sooner or later and it may as well be now.

He has enough reason already he don't have to find a reason but the war protesters don't care if Iran supplies our enemy's and kills our troops. They are not protesting against Iran. ARE THEY?
