adobe flash player is a software which when installed cannot be seen on the screen but if u hve not installed it ,you can install it free at www.download.com

I had this problem too. I needed it so I could check my download speed on www.speedtest.net. I kept downloading the file, unistalling it, re-installing it and so on. My hard drive had gigs of space, run my anti virus, spyware etc nothing. It just wouldn't run the programme. Every time I went to download it the site said I already had it. In the end I re-formatted my hard drive as I like to give it a fresh start every 6 months and it then downloaded ok. You probably got something on your pc that won't let you install the programme properly. Hope this helps

There is a possibility that your hard drive is nearly full of videos & stuff & there just isn't room to download it.
