I really think you guys should try watching the games instead of jumping on the bandwagon and going on the last 5 years. He is always getting his teammates open.

in order for someone to get an assist you first have to pass the ball and then the other player has to FINISH!! Kobe passes the ball but his teamates don't always finish. that's not Kobe's fault! He is clearly more unselfish now and is willing to give up the ball to a wide open player. People are ALWAYS gonna hate on greatness and KOBE is a great player! The best actually, he's the best ALL around player in the NBA.
By the way big SHOUTOUTS to KOBE the NBA ALL STAR MVP 2007!

Kobe is my favorite player, even though I don't live in L.A. I watch a lot of the games and I agree that only bandwagon losers would think that Kobe is a ballhog.

People have problems with really talented players from what I've seen. He's good...that's how teams win games right? By having good players. Sure team play is important in a team sport, but they pass him the ball so he can put up points so everyone on the team still has a role, his is just to do what he does right? I recall people calling Jordan a ball hog too...but how many chamionships did he rack up again? Oh well...

the same reason people think allen iverson is a ballhog: perception and past performances. ai is averaging what 8-9 asts? but that perception is always gonna stick with him. jordan was a ballhog and was said to not be able to win the big one until he won his first title( remember the passes to px during game 6 of the 91' finals?)...then people's thoughts changed.
but i do think think it also has to do with a lot of the kobe-haters too.
bottom line: until he wins a title as the main guy without shaq, a lot of people are gonna think that of him.

The guy is playing good team ball the past month. People still don't recognize it because they think it won't last.
Kobe now has more confidence in his teammates.

Kobe has gotten better at distributing the ball and it shows in his numbers.
Turiaf, Odom, and Bynum have actually been the top scorers in the past few games.

Even if he is a ballhog, when he hogs the ball hes amazing with it so its not like hes brickin every shot

He's not as big as a balhog as he used to be, but it doesn't matter cuse he team isn't winning. So he might as well go back to dropping 81.

Maybe because he is a ball hog. He gets his team mates open because he has the ball and everyone is chasing him.
