Today's date is February 14 and after the LaRoche trade I'm extremely excited as I am every year for the buccos around this time. Yes this will be the year they go over .500 and yes they will be world series champs. We got the batting champ Freddy Sanchez well protected in the lineup this year. Jack Wilson is due for another silver slugger type year. And don't sleep on the 4 lefties in the rotation. Not many teams will see a rotation like that and as they say in baseball, "You can never have too many lefties"

the pirates will not win the world series because they have to many young players that still need to develop but when that happens watch out!

not a chance in hell...so unbeliveably far away still..no depth at any position on the field...knowing dave littlefield its only a matter of time before they trade j bay or freddy for a few no name guys.

No, they wont win their division or the wild card. However, they are a rising team, and I would certainly watch out for them '08/'09

Not this year. They have a decent foundation with Bay, Sanchez, Duke, and Snell, but they still have plenty of holes to fill. I think they will finish last in the NL central this year.
