I will assume you mean COPYRIGHTED music, since you didn't specify, and that ISN'T legal. There is NO Copyrighted files that are LEGAL to file-share. That doesn't mean people won't. Now say you have a garage band. You write your own song and record it. You want to get it out there. So you put it on a file-sharing thing and people really like it. That IS perfectly legal, because it isn't copyrighted.

If the track is copyrighted then it really is, because the artist is dropping funds, or more desirable like they're no longer getting the money for what they have performed. My math type replaced into easily only conversing about this, why we werent' reading math i'm no longer particular, probably 'reason we may be able to get our math instructor conversing about issues and we do, yet in any case he went homestead and regarded up the copyright rules and positioned that it really is unlawful to share track. and that i only relooked at your question and realized that I spoke back the totaly incorrect question so the following is the real answer, more than a number of human beings do not realize that that's copyrighted and they share track and some human beings do are attentive to it yet do not care.

Yes, It is legal for you to share any file that you legally own. It's not legal to download files from other people that you have not purchased. You can not be held responsable for someone illegally downloading files that you are sharing legally.
