Some people keep every email which is sent to them. I go through my emails once every couple weeks and try to clean them up somewhat, but it is not something I do daily.

They might want to go through them again. Moreover,some people just don't delete any emails!

Maybe they didn't think they had any reason to delete them. If you want them deleted, make sure the person knows.

Just incase they needed proof they got them. Like if you guys got into a fight cause of something you thought he said, but he really didnt, then he can send that message to you to prove that he didnt say it.

i don't delete the loveletters my BF sends me in E-mail /I save them too .
everything else get's deleted
