absolutely, and the nastiest part of this is it happens over a long period of time when reacting to controlling behavior. You wake up one day and do NOT know who you are. The sad part of it is, no matter what you do, nothing seems to please the controller. So, you take matters into your own hands, tell them to go to wherever they would like, but get as far away from you as possible. You will find yourself again over a period of time, but it doesn't happen over night. But it does happen. You find yourself, you begin to love yourself again, and you are ready for the world. Be more careful about who you fall in love with in the future! We tend to go after the same thing again and again, and often what we want is the worst thing we can find. Good luck

Yeah after 11 yrs. of Domestic Violence. It took alot of conseling and therapy. And it haunts me til day. It's not a good feeling walking on egg shells and waiting what you will be called next. When people expect too much from you it's overwhelming. keep your guard up and be firm when you feel this way. Learn how to say the big word NO! Good Luck. Happy V-Day.
