This is the NFL so at this time of the year most teams have a chance with some good offseason moves.

The Bengals have a chance at a title next year. They have the 2nd best recieving duo in the nfl (behind the Colts) and Carson Palmer is self explanatory. The Bengals also have one of the best spell running backs in the nfl with Chris Perry. They had some inuries this year, tackle Levi Jones missed some important games. The arrests definitaly played a role in them not going to the playoffs.
If they want to go to the super bowl next year, Carson Palmer needs to play better in the first half of the season. His numbers greatly improved the second half of the season. Losing David Pollack will show on the defensive side, but I think if they get another defensive tackle in their they have every reason to go to the super bowl.

I wonder if all you guys with the lame jail jokes think you are original. Please!! Come up with something new.
Yes, the Bengals have a great chance. They need to add some strong defensive players and work on their maturity. They have Carson Palmer, who is a great QB, and the best trio of wide receivers playing together in the NFL. They need to work on defense and Marvin Lewis needs to crack down on the immaturity, and they will make it.
The person above who said Carson is bolting made that up. Carson is in a very long term deal.

No; Carson Palmer has said that if things don't change, he's bolting. The team is in turmoil due to the huge amount of arrests and off field problems. Their defense is also inconsistent, and they haven't proven they can win in the post season, even at their best.
Bengals are going to be good, but not great.

I think they could also use some help on O to be honest.....
Perry does not strike me as an ideal 3rd down/utility back.....I think an up grade there could help.
They have a lot of room to improve at TE IMO.
I think Rudi is great as the Hammer in a 2 back rotation, but they need the Dave Megget to his Anderson.
The defense clearly still needs work.

they have A chance, but in my opinion it is pretty small. they will make the play offs next year (assuming they stay out of jail) but the AFC is a very tough conference. the Bengals have to get past the Cots, Patriots, Chargers, and their division rivals the Ravens.
all of whom are tough to beat.
i think they should sure up their secondary (Deltha O'Neal isn't going to be around much longer...especially with the problems he's got). and Rudi Johnson isn't a spring chicken anymore.

I think that they'll be one of the elite teams in the AFC but I'm not convinced that they're ready for the superbowl. But it's the NFL, so anything can happen........

They don't have a chance. The Steelers are gonna go, and maybe the Colts. Bengals don't have a chance.
