Well, I enjoy celebrating love, but I don't think it should be confined to one day! LOL.....I enjoy valentine's as much as the next person, don't get me wrong. I love the card from my sweetie, and all the sappy stuff (and steamy!) that comes with it.....even though they are gone today on a business trip.
I just wish we didn't exclusively celebrate the romantic aspect of love. There is so much more! Devotion, compassion, forgiveness and loyalty. And love doesn't mean you have to BE with someone! Love yourself...and then love yourself! :)p Love between friends, partners, family and our pets. It seems that, because of valentine's day (like so many other holidays), we become desensitized to the real meaning behind it. We get so overloaded on the spending spree we're guilted into, we forget to enjoy what we're celebrating!
So here's a BIG hug to you, and everyone on Answers. I hope that, no matter what you do today, no matter who you're with, that you feel loved.

I only hate it because I hate how everybody talks about being supposedly in 'love' at the age of 16 when there probably gonna break up with each other the day after.The word love should be used lightly and it should mean something =/ So yeah I hate it.

I love it only because it is so much fun to watch the three granddaughters react to it. The "baby" (she is 21 months) has been giving us "val" hugs and kisses for days now.
