I am 25 years old and I have lost so much hair since I had my first child and now with my second I have lost so much hair. I don't know what to do. I useto have so much and so curly. Everytime I brush so much falls out. Does coloring it damage it even more? Hairspray? how about blow drying it or washing it every day?
does that one shampoo that has a horse on it help it grow back

When you are pregnant, your body basically stops shedding, so you end up with quite thick hair, but once the pregnancy is over you shed all the hairs that would have been shed if you hadn't been pregnant - you end up with as much hair left on your head as you would have had if you had been shedding as usual. Because it all happens pretty much at once it can be very scary!

Colouring your hair will damage it, as does hairspray (the alcohol in it is very drying). Blowdrying also dries out your hair unless you use the coolest setting, and washing it every day strips out all the natural oils which are good for you hair.

Once hair has left your scalp, it is dead, so no shampoo is going to get it to grow faster or thicker, you need to do that from the inside by making sure you are getting the right amounts of vitamins and minerals, either by eating right, or taking a dietary supplement. (pre-natal vitamins are the best)

I know quite a few people who have lost alot of hair following childbirth. I would recommend seeing a doctor. I know that any treatments for hair loss are costly. I believe there is a shampoo out there that costs somewhere around £70 and it helps the hair grow back. But when you stop using it, the hair falls out. Only heard that through friends.

See your doctor and see if there is anything the NHS can do to help. Its probably just hormonal im afraid.

Yes, hairspray, blow drying coloring and evrything damages the hair...try massaging your head with olive oil regulalrly..it will help in the hair follicle growth..but you should definitely go and see a doc for prof advice.
Take care!

I had my first child last August and around November my hair started shedding around the temples and forehead, I went to see my doctor and he gave my some prenatal vitamins and they worked. He said it was possible and that it was just my hair returning back to normal. Also try Biotin, they work great as well.

I heard my friend saying that dairy makes your hair fall out quicker. I'm not sure if there is truth to this saying...
