Basically I want to treat my wireless router like if it was a wireless card. I want to be able to access another router that has the internet.

You can't with your existing hardware. The Linksys router is broadcast only. It's not designed to detect or receive wireless signals. You'd have to purchase a separate USB or ethernet device (wireless receiver) and physically plug it into the router.

You mean you want to cascade the routers? You need to connect one of the LAN ports (the ones numbered 1-4, not the Internet/WAN port) on the WRT54G to a LAN port on the main router, and disable DHCP on the WRT65G.

Hi,
You want like this but go and buy a UBS Wi-Fi adapter (about £15) then you can link into any router you what to, and keep your router as well. Hope this helps.
