I think he has the potential of being as great as Wellstone was. He will not be scared to speak his mind and represent what the people of Minnesota want, unlike most politicians who are too scared to take sides in fear of losing votes or financial supporters. No matter what, he will be a better senator that Norm Coleman. Minnesota will have great representation with Al and Amy Klobuchar in Washington.

Al Franken is one of the most vile, reprehensible, twisted, self-loathing, Communist-loving jerks on the planet.

If you want to put a comedienne in the Senate, nominate Stephen Colbert (The Colbert Report, on Comedy Central). At least he is genuinely funny, and indisputably a very smart guy!

Let Al Franken start in the House. He can share a seat with another big loser, Cynthia (I smacked a cop) McKinney. After one year, his "performance review" will be this: he gets locked in a room with Fox News' Bill O'Reilly for one hour, no weapons.

Afterwards, if Al still wants to continue in politics, his review will follow the same procedure every year.

He'd be better of sticking to comedy. Because he isn't good enough, he isn't smart enough and dog garn it, people don't like him.
