It really depends on the person. I do know that if it is your first child it takes longer to show then those who have already had a child. I am 6 months pregnant and am barely showing. I just got back from the doctor about an hour ago who said that i have gained 8 pounds total so far, and that is perfectly healthy. Exersize and eating healthy can also play factors on how big you get. As for the belly hardness I don't know the scientific answer, but mine did at about 3 months or so. Good luck with your baby! :)

I'm 16 weeks and barely showing. I think women vary though. My stomach started getting hard pretty quick but I still haven't gained any weight. I have lost without trying. I think I have lost everywhere and gained in my stomach. Anyway my guess would be from 12 weeks to about 24 weeks in general. There are some you can never tell they were pregnant. But you can tell I am because I have a tiny pregnancy belly.

every women is different, some have been known to show as early as 9 weeks. it all depends on your body, you can only get answers through peoples personal experiences. The abdomen starts to gets hard from the rising uterus, this will start low around your pubic bone and rise as it gets bigger to support the growing baby. On average all this happens between 12 and 20 weeks but it is possible depending on the womens body to happen earlier. Women who have already been pregnant before often show earlier because there body already knows what to do and what to expect, in other words everything has already been stretched out and is ready to do it again. I hope this helped you.

In the beginning months your stomach will feel hard in the lower area because that is where your uterus is at this time

I didn't show much at all during my pregnancy. Around my 6th month, this little round hump showed up all at once I swear. But, if I wore large flannel shirts, no one could even tell I was having a baby until I was 9 months. It depends on how much you eat, how you carry your baby, and your body size. Congratulations!
