What I mean is how long before you cannot cash the check?

Usually six months, it may be different between banks etc, you should be able to find the information somewhere in your checkbook or on your banks website. - seth

generally unless the check states otherwise most banks will not process checks older than six months, a bank may pay a check after six months it would depend on a number of factors

depends on where you are located. most states it is 6 months or a year. also need to make sure check itself doesn't say something like "void after xx days from date of check"

depends.. normal checks is normally 6 months.. for a pay check normally 3 months (180 days).. it will say on the check
