Other woman in my area most of whom are married dont like me?I am 24 yrs old am a divorced woman and a single mom to my 3 yr old daughter.I graduated from college and have a job but currently moved back in with my parents(for my daughter ) and so i could save money to live in a nice area with a good school system since NJ is expensive tax wise.I get dirty looks from other moms when i drop of my daughter at pre-school in the morning and a lot of rude comments about everything including the way i dress? I do however get along with some of their husbands. I ran into three of their husbands at work while in the gym since they work for the same company as i do only higher up.The coversations are fairly light just friendly talk there are not many women in department. So why am i getting harassed for it by their wives?

Ignore them, they are being snotty, immature, b*tches. Be cordial, don't stoop to their level. Get on with your business. You are too good to be associating with snots like them. They might think you had a kid out of wedlock and were just making babies with guys. It's judgemental, yes, but ignore them, who cares. You're way too good for them. Keep on smiling!

Jealousy and the unknown. You are young and single, I might be inclined to keep that at arms length as well, for no other reason than at first I might feel threatened that
1) I am no longer 24
2) I am no longer single
If there is a child that you daughter get along with, talk to her mother and make a playdate. That way you can tackle one mom at a time and you can infitrate the evil slowly. Soon they will see through their fears and come to know you.

Well first off if your chatting it up with these ladies husbands and not making an effort to connect with then there is problem number one. Secondly if your dressing is viewed as provocative to these women ( not that there is anything wrong with that) they are bound to be jealous. Put yourself in their shoes, a younger woman who is talking to your husband and not you ?

Women can be jealous and insecure if they think they aren't good enough to keep their man.
Don't let them bother you. You have a focus in mind and that's all that matters.
Don't change the way you are to fit in with women who have such low self esteem.
Enjoy your life and your friendships with men.

Sounds like these women are threatened by you. The problem is not with you but with their insecurities. Maybe they are worried their husbands will stray. Assure them all that you do not want anything to do with their husbands.

Honey, women are bitches. They tend to get even more bitchy when they think their husbands are even the slightest bit interested in you. This is the reason that i have alot more guy friends than girlfriends, and i wouldn't trade their drama free asses for nothin!!

Just do what you have to do to take care of your daughter. You should just ignore these women, since you say you are doing nothing wrong.

Stop acting like slutty eye candy, put on some decent clothes and act like a mom and not some man stealer.
