One of the main benefits of a preparer that specializes in small business is that they are more familiar with the tax laws that affect your business. That being said...Any place can do it. If you go to a big chain like H&R Block, make sure the preparer is comfortable doing the return. All preparers are not created equal. Some are great others...not so much.

Sorry to go off topic here...

I was using H & R Block as an example, there is good and bad with any company. That is why I said some are better than others.

And...news flash...Dizneyfreak1...H & R Block does have SOME good preparers.

There is nothing special about a Mary Kay business that would require a special tax preparer.

Also....you may want to look at the "Hobby vs Business" rules at IRS.gov. This is going to be a major focus for the IRS in the next few years.

Please get a referral from a friend/coworker (or fellow Mary Kay rep) for a good CPA firm to handle this. MaryKay sales are a red flag for the IRS and they scrutinize them so it's important it's done right. Don't go to Block or Hewitt. Go to a real CPA firm.

That's not complicated. Use Turbo Tax. NEVER use H&R Block!
