For me, it has been all the LOVE & SUPPORT that I have received from some people during this last month & a half. After my daughters were injured in a house fire on 12/26/06, people everywhere gave me loving words of support & compassion. Valentine's Day is not just restricted to family & friends; it is also from the kindness of others who don't even really know you (like on the computer). There are GOOD PEOPLE everywhere!!
HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY TO EVERYONE!!

this question was just meant as a "gesture of my appreciation" to all the kindhearted people here. Please don't read into it anymore than that. Of course, we should be LOVING everyday; and not just on February 14th.

I am, in fact, one who has found LOVING PEOPLE that existed (and not just on 2/14). PEACE EVERYONE!!

Good God...so much introspection over a simple expression of love and thankfulness!

Lighten up people. Sometimes life is complicated. But sometimes it's not. It's good to be able to know the difference.

Bottom line: Most people are good. When someone needs love and support, more than likely they'll find it, often from perfect strangers.

Government doesn't fix everything. Sometimes it's just ordinary people that step up.

God bless you, and I hope your daughters are doing better!

without trying to be a cynical party pooper, there is no real meaning to valentine's day other than commercialism and spending money. how much money is being spent today on useless gifts and cards telling people how much we supposedly love them. when it is something we should be saying to them on a regular basis and not just on feb 14? why do we have to segregate a specific day in order to tell people we love them and care about them? why should feb 14 be any different than feb 15 or may 24 or august 3 or october 18?

yes, there are good people everywhere, and i'm very very happy that your daughters are safe and that you have had a lot of love and support. however, why should feb 14 be the day when you acknowledge this?
