I'm a guy and have friends who think its a stupid holiday and its just for companies to make money. To me personally, even though it is just a day, its a day to make my wife feel special. Although my wife says its not a big deal to her. I know she loves it when I do stuff for her. To me thats whats its all about. Not how I feel about it but how special I can make her feel.

I didn't get anything either. The same goes for Xmas and anniversaries. He always uses the excuse that he doesn't have any money but he never tries to really save up for them either. I feel very depressed today because we have had 11 years of Valentine's Day together and he always disappoints me. I guess we are the supposed 1 in 10 wives who get nothing for this holiday. I think we should just boycott it.

Nope your not. My husband is really good when it comes to birthday or anniversary but Valentines day... haha. If I ever get anything for Valentines it is usually the day after because everything is always on sale.

Nope, me too. Who cares, it's just another day! Everyday should be valentine's day. Do something special for your man! Why does it always have to be another birthday party for the women?

My husband doesn't believe in Valentines Day, rarely ever manages to remember my birthday, and only remembers Christmas because he knows that he would DIE if he ruined Christmas. I have just resigned myself to it. (Although sometimes, it makes me a little sad.)

No. There are many selfish and passive/aggressive spouses out there who use your expectations for their evil pleasure. My ex-husband didn't remember me for any special day, but when it came to him.....oh boy, we had to proclaim it a holiday....
good luck & happy v day

No! My husband and I get a little something for our kids, but rarely for each other....It is overrated if you ask me.

You are not alone. I didn't get anything from him and I don't care. I love him for what he does for me all these years.
