Whats it like?
How long of a commute would it be to Las Colinas?
What kind of people live there?

Rockwall is great. I wouldn't dare call it a small town, its spread out with hills and full of roads with neighborhoods and shopping malls. its right off the lake has a few country roads. Its kept very nice by the city and has a historical downtown area not even a mile off the lake. Only two bridges take you across the lake towards dallas adding to drive time but los colinas is on the opposite side of dallas so bummer. The people of rockwall are mostly uppermiddle class to upperclass with a small ghetto near the old downtown area. New building is going on even as we speak on the harbor for more entertainment and restraunts. The already have several restraunts. MOVE TO ROCKWALL! Hills in the neighborhood, nice lake views, golf, nice schools, good credit families, town keeps itself nice with laws about not having too tall of signs for business etc... keppin the country feel right on the edge of Dallas and the LAKE!

Rockwall is a growing upscale community of about 50,000, east of Dallas on the banks of Lake Ray Hubbard. It is located in Rockwall County. The commute to Downtown Dallas, would be about 45 min, and could be up to an hour to Las Colinas.

Rockwall is a great place to live, especially if you have children. It, however, is on the opposite side of the Dallas metro area from Las Colinas. It would be a 20+ mile commute complicated by really heavy traffic congestion.

Small towns in Texas are like swimming against the tide. You just have to slow down. Life can be something you never expected it to be. An artist would love it. You have to ask yourself if you have something to add. If the answer is yes, come on in. If the answer is no, come over here and find the yes. If you don't know, come and discover your yes. Small town Texas is where you come to be you.

actually, it would be more like 35-40 miles each way. They are on opposite ends of town, and if you are driving during rush hour, it would probably take a good 75-90 minutes each way
