I have been on the birth control pill for 7 years. I always start either Wednesday or Thursday of the week. I started on a Monday and this is the first time this has ever happened. Things have been changing like my moods have gotten worse, more cramps, etc. What should I do?

When you are on birth control, your periods are typically pretty regular. However, stress can still affect your hormones. The most likely reason for having an early period while on BC is high stress or anxiety levels. For some women, this will also affect mood swings, cramps, etc. Have you been more stressed than usual?

If the problem persists over several periods, talk to your doctor and ask about switching to a different pill to see if that helps. But I'm betting your next period will be back to normal.

Talk to your doctor about it.
