Yes.....I'm sure that they followed a strict set of societal laws rather than having random breeding ergo disease that is so common today.

Different species vary. While some have consenual sex, others simply have the sex, then move on. In some species, the father never sees the mother or children again, only staying around for the act of procreating. As far as the stone age, I would say I don't think it was. From what I've seen/heard, men were more dominant and aggresive. What they did and "said" was what went. If they wanted sex, the female most likely was forced in a sense(or perhaps it was just accepted that she be submissive) to have sex if the male wanted it. For the longest time, the idea of "rape" wasn't accepted. If there was sex, then it was assumed that both the partners had agreed to it. So, even though it may not have been consensual, the female may have felt obligated to partake, possibly having to choice in the matter anyway.

Sex between humans has most likely been mostly consensual. The tribal social ramifications of continual rape would have been disastrous for the social fabric. Certainly the sexual will of the male was the factor given primary importance, and the feelings of the female were probably NOT given as much importance if any, but within that context the act itself was most likely consensual, essentially. In the animal kingdom it is quite different. Animals go into 'heat'. Their are mating seasons where both animal genders are sexually active, and other seasons where they are not. During the mating season, mating is consensual. Both creatures must co-operate in order for the mating to be successful.

Fighting is just part of the passion for animals and even for some humans in today's society...some people are just that way and the more name calling and hitting, the more passion.

That's funny to a large majority of us who don't really like so much violence... people who don't like violence and fighting often report the people who do. The problem is getting people properly matched...fighters to fighters and compassionate to compassionate.

I do think sex in the stone age was more or less consentual with the same ratios of exception as we have today. Even among animals it is consentual...dogs just do a lot of nipping and snapping but if a female dog doesn't want sex, she just sits down. The male doesn't maime her if she sits down but after a while will walk away and find another girl in heat. Two male dogs may fight though. The female will sit and watch and sometimes even wag her tail. Dogs growl and nip while humans groan and kiss...nothing more violent than the other enjoys....usually.

There is plenty of consensual animal sex. There's this wierd belief that women have to convince themselves they like sex. Nearly all humans like sex...and nearly all animals.

I do think there was probably LESS consensual sex in pre-history, though.

Why do you think aggressive sex these days is called" doing it caveman style"? Back then the cavemen took it whenever they wanted, there wasnt any rape laws so they didnt get in trouble.

I believe it is consenual for animals...to a certain extend. They don't just attack another animal for sex.
