Like a 1970s looking bike with fuel injection and fairly inexspensive.

I'm afraid they probably won't.
The market is mostly geared towards the younger generation.
The only people interested in old looking stuff are those of us that are even older.

About ten years ago Honda made the VT1100 ACE (American Classic Edition) which was definately retro and also introduced the cb750 nighthawk, again as a retro bike (both inexpensive although not fuel injected). There are presently alot of good bikes on the market, just pick the one you like the looks of, you can go wrong mechanically. How about Suzuki Boulevard M50, injected, shaft driven, and under $7000.

I have a Honda Shadow Aero 750 with the shaft drive, but still carburated. I am happy with it.

you mean like the retro cb750 that looked just like the 1969 but with modern mechanicals like kaw did with that w650 honda chose not to import the one they made and I dont know why I hope they do one soon so that I can afford it 10 yrs from now

a while back I believe they came out with the gb500, a cafe racer of the older days, it didn't sell too well
